ART MARKET Details

The Art Market at ARTober FEST will be located INSIDE and OUTSIDE the Timberline Lodge.

INSIDE Art Market

The INSIDE Art Market is open to the public for TWO days during ARTober FEST: SATURDAY, October 5th, 10am - 6 pm, and SUNDAY, October 6th, 10am - 2 pm.

  • INSIDE Art Market set-up times: Friday evening, October 4th, 6 -9 PM and Saturday morning, October 5th, 7 - 9:30 AM.

  • Tables and chairs provided upon request. Electricity available.

OUTSIDE Art Market

The OUTSIDE Art Market is open to the public ONE day only, October 5th, 10am - 6 pm.

  • OUTSIDE Market vendors need to bring their own tent and supplies. We recommend the use of stakes and walls, if available, due to possible windy conditions.

  • OUTSIDE Set-up time starts Saturday morning, October 5th, 7 - 9:30 AM. All vendors must be OPEN at 10am.

  • Tables and chairs provided upon request. Electricity available.

  • In case of bad weather, OUTSIDE Market vendors have the choice to move to an inside space or to cancel participation.

  • ART DEMOS - Demonstrate your art-making technique to an audience at your booth.

  • INTERACTIVE CRAFT - Offer a make-and-take craft for visitors at your booth.

SILENT AUCTION Details

The ArtSpring Silent Auction is held online and is exhibited at the Timberline Lodge on the 3rd floor during ARTober FEST.

A PREVIEW of Auction items is available ONLINE starting September 1st on the ArtSpring website (www.artspringwv.com).

EXHIBITION

  • Auction items are displayed at the Silent Auction EXHIBITION at the Timberline Lodge during ARTober FEST:

    • Friday night, 6 - 8 PM, October 4th, and

    • Saturday, NOON - 8 PM, October 5th.

Bidding

  • Silent Auction BIDDING starts ONLINE at noon, September 15th. All bidding is done online.

  • Bidding continues online 24/7 from SEPT 13th through October 5th.

  • Silent Auction bidding ENDS at 8:00 PM, October 5th.

DONATION OPTIONS

  • Artists can elect to donate 100% or 50% of the sale (highest bid) of their item.

    • For 100% donations, ArtSpring retains the entire sale amount; artist donates all proceeds.

    • For 50/50 share donations, artists receive 50% of the sale amount of their item; ArtSpring retains 50%. Artists can determine the lowest acceptable amount they want to receive in payment if their item sells.

    • Unsold (unbid) items can be returned to the Artist or can be donated for subsequent sale at the ArtSpring Shop.

  • The Sale amount of all auction items is determined by the highest bid (or winning bid) for that item when bidding ends at 8 PM, Saturday, OCT, 5th.

  • ArtSpring will establish the starting bid for each donated item. Artists may suggest a starting bid for their item, however ArtSpring will make the final determinations for starting bids in order to affect bidding strategies.


REGISTRATION

  • Artist Registration for the Silent Auction must be received no later than August 31st.

  • Images of auction items must be emailed to ARToberFest@artspringwv.com no later than August 31th.

  • Auction Items must be received by SEPTEMBER 15th at the ArtSpring Shop at Cottrill's Opera House in Thomas, WV.

  • Please deliver or mail your donation to the ArtSpring Shop: BOX 156, Thomas, WV 26292

  • Deliveries will be accepted on Fridays & Saturdays, from 11am - 4 pm, September 1st through the 15th.

  • All donations will be kept in a secure area.
